March 8 - Rain this morning - I got soaked

I got soaked as I walked back to the city thru the desert. Man despite the fact that it didn't seem to be raining that hard the desert floor was soaked and there was water everywhere.

My pants were soaking wet, but the good news was the thermal underwear under my pants didn't get very wet.

Same for my coat, it was soaking wet, but again all the clothing under my coat was dry.

My shoes and socks were also soaking wet.

I guess the good news is that it isn't that cold out at night, so tonight even if my clothing is a little wet I won't freeze to death.

The message I got say the account was disable because somebody tried to log in too many times with the wrong password.

My first guess is that the thugs at Homeland Security were the ones trying to break into it.

In the past I have discovered people breaking into my email accounts when I logged into the account and was given messages that someone else was also logged into the same account at a different IP address.

Innocent people are routinely railroaded by the police for crimes they didn't commit and sent to prison for years.

Most of them die in prison and the only good news is the 300 or so people that have been free from prison after DNA testing proved they were framed by the police and didn't do it.

March 8 - I froze to death

The only good news is that even though I got soaked from the rain I am wearing so many layers of clothing to keep warm that only the outer layers got soaked.

The bad cop tells the suspect he will be sent to the gas chamber if he doesn't confess. The good cop tells the suspect he will get a slap on the wrist if he confesses. Of course the suspect usually confesses to the good cop, because after all he will only get a slap on the wrist if he confesses.

Of course the courts are pretty worthless at settling lawsuit fairly, but when you are jerked around by criminals, I guess it is the only legal way to show the criminals you won't tolerate their behavior.

The way the system works is people are almost always grossly over charged with crimes which will send them to prison for 20+ years, and then the people are offered a plea bargain which will only send them to prison for a year if they plead guilty.

And sadly 99 percent of the people charged with crimes accept these plea bargains because they don't have the money to fight the charges, or they know if the do fight the charges and are convicted they will effectively be sent to prison for the rest of their lives.

As a Libertarian I don't think people should get free lawyers.

On the other hand the system clearly does not work and is unfair because it is too complex and confusing for a normal person to understand without the help of a lawyer. And I suspect it was intentionally designed that way to give the government the upper hand in both criminal and civil cases.

Man were they cheep, poorly made locks.

The key was made out of cheep stamped flat steel.

At first I thought it was the wrong key, because it wouldn't turn. But after playing with the lock I determined that it was the correct key, and got the key to open the lock.

While the key cylinder in both locks was made of brass the casing that held the cylinder was made of plastic and I pretty much broke both locks open with my bare hands.

I can't possible imagine why a company would manufacturer and sell such worthless locks that can be broken open by a persons hand.

I was going to use the lock cylinders to teach people how to pick locks, but they were so cheep with their plastic casing that they broke open, and I threw the locks away.

Cathi Herrod's Center for Arizona Policy is a right wing Christian group which seems like it has a full time job of introducing laws which will force the citizens of Arizona to obey the Christian Bible, which of course is a violation of both the Arizona Constitution and the US Constitution.

Some people have joked that the SB 1432 law, if passed will be a jobs program for cops, having the police check the genitals of people leaving public restrooms, just to make sure they didn't use the restroom of the wrong sex.

One of his first statements was something like that poor people deserve to have the government give them money and stuff to make their lives better.

I then asked him if he thought the function of government was to steal money from rich people and give it to poor people.

He lied and said no.

Then he come up with another one of those socialist lines, that the function of government was to give poor folks a college education, again so they could better their lives.

I again asked the guy if it was the function of the government to steal money from rich folks and give it to poor folks in the form of education.

Again he lied and said no.

The guy was a real jerk and instead of wanting to listen and see what the Libertarian platform was he seem more into insulting me and being as abusive as possible.

I suspect he is one of those jerks that like to say humanists are better then religious folks.

But this guy was a real jerk, just like those nut job Christians who love to insult and belittle you if you don't believe in their silly mythical guy.

In addition to being a jerk the guy was really nieve.

I pointed out numerous failures of our government such as the Iraq and Afghanistan war, and the drug war, but he had his head buried in the sand and kept saying the system would fix it's self and get better.

I didn't bother to point out that the last time America had a balanced budget was during President Andrew Jackson. That was from 1829 to 1837.

In the police state of Arizona the government says that if you have any trace of an illegal drug in your body that you are automatically considered guilty of DUI or DWI, even if you are stone cold sober.

The only good news out of this is that Louis Taylor was not executed by the great state of Arizona like Cameron Todd Willingham was by the great state of Texas when he was almost certainly framed for murder and executed in a case which also used junk science to get a conviction.

A couple of interesting things from the article.

First while measuring you blood alcohol is a reasonable indicator of how stoned you are, measuring the tests for marijuana are almost worthless for gauging how stoned you are. A really stoned person can have a very low test level, and a perfectly straight person can have a high test level.

Second Arizona crime labs usually test for three molecules when examining blood for evidence of marijuana use: THC, its primary metabolite, hydroxy-THC, and the inactive metabolite carboxy-THC. Oddly carboxy-THC doesn't get you stoned.

Third, never, never admit to the cops that you are a medical marijuana users. They will use it against you in court. And never, never, never admit to the cops that you have smoked marijuana anytime in your life. Again that will be used against you in court.

Fourth if you are a pot smoker you probably know this, but marijuana doesn't effect your driving anywhere near the level that alcohol does.

Statistics compiled by the Arizona Department of Transportation each year show that alcohol impairment is believed by police to be responsible for five to 10 times the number of fatal and injury crashes statewide as all other illegally used drugs combined.
