Voter initiative to reduce taxes and government rules

Currently government tyrant Rep. John Kavanagh is trying to put a bill on the Arizona ballot that would allow the voters to repeal Arizona's medical marijuana law which was passed with Prop 203.

It is really easy for the elected officials in the legislator to do this. They just need to get 100 votes or so and bingo it's done.

But for us serfs to put an initiative on the ballot it literally takes thousands of dollars, and probably millions of dollars to collect the signatures needed to get an initiative on the ballot.

I would like to go thru the expensive process of putting an initiative on the ballot that reduces this requirement so the people can put an initiative on the ballot with a measly 100 signatures, just like the politicians.

But I want to ONLY allow them to do it for initiatives that would either reduce taxes, or reduce government micromanagement of our lives.

For example an initiative to legalize marijuana, prostitution or gambling would be something I would allow them to put on the ballot with a measly 100 signatures.

Same for an initiative for them to repeal sales or income taxes.

My plan would not let them put initiatives on the ballot that would raise taxes or increase government interference in our lives.

For an example they couldn't put an initiative on the ballot with my short method to raise the sales taxes or out law guns.

Currently I have to think about exactly how to word my initiative so that it is constitutional.

If we had something like this then EVERY year we could put initiatives on the ballot to legalize marijuana, legalize ALL drugs, and of course repeal the sales and income taxes.

I would also have to add a restriction that these voter initiatives should not be allowed to create any NEW crimes or attach penalties to the initiative allowing people to be put jail or prison.

We don't need people passing laws that create new victimless crimes.

Summary

  • Must either reduce taxes, or reduce government micromanagement
  • Can't increase taxes
  • Can't increase government regulation
  • Can't put people in jail or prison
